Letter From Our Athletic Director

The Lewis & Clark High School administration, staff, and coaches’ value interscholastic activities and athletics. We appreciate and respect the direct correlation between students participating in athletics and higher academic achievement. LCHS is committed to providing quality experiences in all our athletic and activity programs.

Participation in these sports and activities engage students in lifelong learning experiences that are not duplicated in other instructional settings. Students involved in extra-curricular activities learn time management, communication, advocacy, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills that shape and mold their character to be successful, responsible, and mature citizens of the world beyond their high school years.

LCHS has been in operation for over 100 years. During this century of existence, there has been a long tradition of excellence on the athletic field and in the classroom including 27 state championships and countless Greater Spokane League titles. Our current Tigers continue to exemplify a commitment to excellence.

Our head coach Joe Ireland and his coaching staff are very excited to begin the journey of the upcoming2022 football season. The difficult Greater Spokane League schedule will challenge our preparation, dedication, skill, and commitment. Success in the “League of Champions” is never easy, but the Tigers are up for the challenge this year.

Good luck to the coaches and athletes at all levels of the Tiger football program.

Dave Hughes

Athletic Director
